Good to Know

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the home. This includes the screened-in porch, picnic table, outdoor fire pit, propane grill, pasture, and private, off-street parking in the driveway.

Other Things to Note

  • An exterior camera monitors the front door only. No interior cameras.
  • The Little House is in close proximity to the Shade Tree Cottage. The Little House faces away from the cottage and when you're inside the house or on the screened-in porch, you would not even know the other house is there.
  • The kitchenette is not ideal for cooking meals. The kitchenette does not have an oven, range, stove, or hot plate. We have an outdoor propane grill along with a microwave and toaster.
  • Keeping with the theme, The Little House has a little water heater. The shower produces hot water for about 5 minutes before it turns into lukewarm water. The shower is not ideal for those who take 15+ minute showers. If you are doing back-to-back showers, we recommend waiting 5-10 minutes for the 12-gallon water heater to refill with hot water.
  • You are in the country so you may see the occasional bug. The house is thoroughly cleaned after every guest. We have a pest company that services the house every month. If you see a cricket, ladybug, etc, it most likely showed up after the cleaning and before your arrival.
  • Smoking indoors is not permitted. A $500 fee will apply if this policy is violated.
  • Outdoor smoking must be cleaned up. A $250 fee will apply for cigarette litter.
  • Guests may be responsible for damages exceeding normal wear over $50.
  • We are dog-friendly. Thank you for picking up after your dog. Sorry, not cats.

Cancellation Policy

100% refund if you cancel within 48 hours of your booking and check-in is at least 14 days away.
50% refund if cancelled at least 14 days before check-in.
Cancellations made less than 14 days before check-in are non-refundable.

Whether you are exploring wine country, antiquing, or simply relaxing with your dog, this location offers easy access to town while still feeling tucked away in the countryside.
