About Teas and Tisanes

resizedcupofherbalhealthIf you are not sure if you want a regular or herbal tea, or a tisane, or exactly what is the difference between a tea and tisane, you've come to the right place.

Tea leaves come from the Camillia sinensis plant.   If the blend contains any tea leaves it is known as a tea.  You can read more about the description of a Tea here.  If it does not contain tea and only contains herbs, leaves, flowers, berries, seeds , bark, roots, etc... it is referred to as a Tisane.  You can read more about Tisanes here.  Tisanes can be taken for many different purposes such as detoxing, emergencies, tonics and nutritive supports, or can simply be used as a delicious cup to help relax, aid digestion and slumber, and even to enhance intimacy with your spouse.

Herbal blends are often times called Herbal Tea, but unless they contain tea, they are known as a Tisane.

Carla Lynne has assembled a great library of informative and helpful articles for you to read ~ hopefully while sipping a cup of one of her herbal teas and tisanes!

Simply click on the library article titles in the blue sidebar to your right and enjoy!
