How To Draw A Therapeutic Bath

To release the oils, nutrients, and healing properties of your product, place two to three wooden scoopfuls (included) into your muslin bag, or one of the pre-made teabags into your running water ~ taking care to make sure the water is not too hot to do damage to the skin. A good place to hang the muslin bag is right under the faucet where the water can run through the bag and over the ingredients. This causes the water to become infused with the herbs, botanicals, essential oils, and other ingredients to provide comfort for the skin and aromatic bliss for your spirit.
Your water may appear murky, cloudy, or even show a hue of color from the green tea, calendula, or other ingredients. This is to be expected ~ and welcomed! What you are seeing is an infusion, or tea, of all the wonderful ingredients you will be soaking in. Light some candles, put on some light jazz or classical music, and soak for twenty to thirty minutes.
To do a therapeutic Mineral Salt bath, or for a muscle soak, skin healing regiment, or detoxification protocol, Carla Lynne suggests you start with an initial treatment of taking a bath twice a week. For more severe and chronic problems, such as eczema, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, or muscles strains, she suggests at least four baths a week. Simply dissolve the Shade Tree Cottage Mineral Bath Salts in the included muslin bag in a very warm bath. Soak for at least 30 minutes. Following the bath, rinse skin lightly with warm, clear running water. Pat skin dry with a clean towel and immediately wrap in a robe or blanket and rest for another half an hour. Be sure to drink a glass of cool water when you are resting to replenish the skin and muscles and to assist in detoxing the body.
As maintenance program, or as the severity of your symptoms subside, which is usually within two to four weeks, take one or two baths weekly. Soak for 30 minutes, again, rinsing when finished with warm, clear water. Pat skin dry with a clean towel and wrap in a robe or blanket and rest for one half of an hour.
Please take care when getting into and out of the tub as some of the ingredients may make your bathing surface slippery. When finished with bathing, empty muslin bag and rinse well, and hang up in shower or lay flat to dry for next bath. If using a premade tea bag, toss in the trash or compost if able (highly recommended!).
